[Chapter 5]

“Well, remember when we hugged? The day before we abandoned you?” Spencer asked.

I nodded. “I told you that you should grow your hair out and you told me I was crazy,” I chuckled.

Spencer smiled and tugged on his hair a little. “When we hugged, feelings I had been trying to suppress came up and I got freaked out. I mean you were my best friend and I just wanted nothing more than for that hug to lead somewhere. That’s why we stopped talking to you, to try to stop those feelings from affecting me. I couldn’t feel like it. I knew you didn’t like me like that,” Spencer sighed.

I shifted in my spot on the floor.

“You would have made fun of me and so would Ryan. You would have done to me what I did to you. I’m so sorry I did what I did,” Spencer whispered finally.

I looked at him with a blank stare.

“Liz?” Spencer asked.

Still, no emotion appeared on my face.

“Li-iz?” Spencer sang.

I shook my head. “Spencer James Smith,” I said slowly.

His eyes widened. “Whenever you call me that, I’m in trouble,” he mumbled, backing up.

I stood up. I slapped him. “You asshole!” I shouted.

Poor Spency. But I can understand why she hits him though. Maybe she loves him back?

More soon? You know I love this!
